Total War: Battles Kingdom is a server based game that requires users to be online while they play. The original ROME: Total War will still be in your Steam library, and if you don’t own it, it will be become available to you as part of your Total War: ROME REMASTERED purchase. Basically, it requires Directx 9 which apparently is incompatible with Windows 10 (although it obviously wasn’t for the last couple of months!). I have been running Rome Total War on Windows 10 quite happily since August.
